Thoroughly Modern Millie (2004)

Based on the 1967 Oscar award-winning film, this Broadway musical comedy told the story of a Kansas girl who comes to New York City in the Roaring '20's in search of a new life. The production took audiences back to the height of the Jazz Age when women were just beginning to enter the workforce and rewriting the rules of love.

Dixie donned Oriental drag to play the villainous Mrs. Meers, the has-been actress who, masquerading as a Chinese hotel proprietress, secretly arranges for young women tenants to be sold off into "white slavery."
