I See The World Through Your Eyes
Written in memory of the photographer Edward Wallowitch
I see the world through your eyes
Though you're no longer around
You're living somewhere inside of me
No camera ever caught the pictures I see
They're painted by the thought of you and of me
When we were laughing long ago
And I still hear the sound of your voice
I hear it calling to me
Across a meadow or in the town
And down remembered streets it guides me along
And even though I know you're gone, and I'm wrong
I still expect to see your face in the throng
And I still see the world through your eyes
